OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

In essential beliefs — we have unity.

“There is one Body and one Spirit... there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all...”
Ephesians 4:4-6

In non-essential beliefs — we have liberty.

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters... Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls... So then each of us will give an account of himself to God... So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.”  Romans 14:1,4,12,22

In all our beliefs — we show charity.

“...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains — but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.”  1 Corinthians 13:2  (Ph)

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrevocable and complete Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

We believe in the eternal Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9, 10)

We believe that salvation is by the grace of God. (Ephesians 2:8)

We believe there is a literal change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion and is the result of being born of the Spirit of God. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20; John 3:5-7)

We believe in sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 3:1; John 17:17; Ephesians 5:27)

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power as they were according to Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:4.

We believe that divine healing is the provision of Christ to heal the sick in response to the exercise of faith, prayer of faith, prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, and the laying on of hands. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-16; Luke 21:33)

We believe that the second coming of Christ is literal and inevitable. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

We believe that heaven is a literal place, eternally existent. (John 14:2; Revelations 7:15-17)

We believe that hell is a literal place of eternal torment for those who reject the Lord Jesus. (Revelation 20:10, 15)

WHAT WE PRACTICE

Beliefs aren’t worth much unless they’re translated into actions. Based on what the Bible teaches, we feel very strongly about the following practices:

We practice Bible reading, Bible study, Bible memorization and accept the Bible as our manual for living. (2 Timothy 3:15)

We practice water baptism by immersion as an outward sign of the inward work of
salvation. (Matthew 28:19)

We practice the commemoration of the Lord’s supper by the symbolic use of the bread and the juice of the vine.
(1 Corinthians 11:28)

We practice the demonstration of all the gifts of the Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 12.

We practice the exercise of faith, prayer of faith, prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, and the laying on of hands for divine healing as the provision of Christ to heal the sick. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew. 8:17; James 5:14-16; Luke 21:33)

We practice church membership. It is our sacred duty to identify and actively participate with the local and visible church of Christ. (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25)

We practice soul winning as the great commission given to the church. (James 5:20; Mark 16:15; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21)

We practice tithes and free-will offerings as the giving method ordained of God for the support and spread of His cause. (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7; Hebrews 7:8)

We practice individual and corporate expressions of praise and thanksgiving and reverence in holiness. (John 4:24; Psalm 150)
