Focused Youth Ministry

The Mission

"To build an exciting ministry for young people where the genuine teaching and equipping of each youth is the 'focus' of everyone involved."

What to Expect?

Fact: There is a place in God's kingdom for every person. We train and promote opportunity for students to find God's calling for them on a personal level and as a unified, effective youth group. We strive to build the Kingdom by building "Big" people, not just "Big" numbers. Ultimately we are here to advance the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ in the hearts and minds of tomorrows adults (And have a blast doing it!).

A Note from Pastor Travis:

"Being the son of a pastor, I have been in and around youth groups since I was very young. I remember the hardest thing to deal with as a teenager stepping into a new youth group was not the activities or the leaders, but the other students. I am so proud to say that you will not find 'cliques' in our youth group. What you will find is a group of young men and women who love Jesus and often see others through His eyes. If you are a parent or a potential visitor, I want to give you my word that you will be genuinely welcome when you walk into our doors without any judgment. I hope to see many new faces this year as God grows us spiritually and numerically."

Our Structure

High School
[9th thru 12th grade]

Every first Wednesday night of the month high school comes together for a video discussion night. Is there an issue that you never hear anyone talking about? Suggest it! Are there tough questions about your faith that you want answers to? Let's talk about it! This is a chance for you as high schoolers to voice your opinions and questions in front of your peers and have honest-to-God discussions about deeper issues.

Middle School
[6th thru 8th grade]

Middle school is a BIG deal! Students will be engaged on their level and taught important foundational information about their lives and how to make an impact in their environment. Oh and in case you were wondering... YES, The Bridge is a TON of fun! The 'Bridgers' have their own room right outside the main youth room that they meet in on Wednesday night after worship.

Wednesdays at 6:30pm

Join us for games, giveaways, live music, spirited Bible teaching, prayer and discussions about real life issues. On the last Wednesday of each month we either have a Movie Night or 'Night of Fire' worship night. During a typical youth night all ages come together for worship and prayer, then we split up into Middle School and High School classes.

Second Saturdays

Every second Saturday of the month we get together and have some fun, food and hangout time! Sometimes we meet in the youth room, sometimes we meet at a leaders home and sometimes we even go out somewhere fun! There's always food, a planned activity, and a great time with friends. This is the perfect opportunity for youth to bring a friend to church to have a great time!

'LINK' Family Fellowship Nights

Twice a year (Summer & Winter), we invite the youth and their entire family to come join us for fun and fellowship. This allows youth leaders to connect with parents and for parents to get to know the leaders who are teaching their kids. We as youth leaders are committed to connecting with you as parents to join together and raise a godly generation of youth! If you would like to know more about what's going on, come join us for the next Link.

Many Other Events!

Each month we have other events in addition to the normal get-togethers we have. We plan out lot's of fun activities such as: Missions Trips, Camping Trips, Christian Music Concerts, Ice Skating, Horseback Riding, Beach Trips and many more!

We are also very involved with community service in areas/organizations such as: The City Rescue Mission, World Relief, The Salvation Army and others.
